Soccer and Kindergarten

Derek and Blake have already had two soccer games on Saturday so I’ve been able to go to both of them. They can still be a little chilly. They love to play but we need to teach Blake a little humility. He will often say stuff like, “I was the best player today”. It’s even harder to do when some of the parents keep telling him how good he is. Both of them stand out so they are often referred to as “the brothers”.

The Hi-five for the other team at the end of the game seems to almost be as fun as the game itself.

The game wasn’t exciting enough for Brandon.

It’s hard to keep them from goofing around during the warm-up.

They sometimes get confused between their gymnastics class and soccer games. Blake loves to show off his strength by trying to pick people up. He will often try to lift unsuspecting adults. We are working on that too.

Katelyn doesn’t like to sit still at soccer games.

It was daddy day at kindergarten. Derek and Blake are in different classes so Amy and I both went and we swapped half way through.

They sung a song called "I think you are wonderful". It was even cuter than it sounds.

Hats, cats and hugs

One Happy Boy!

Look at him sitting up so tall!

There are no words for how much Brandon loves this cat!
He constantly points to the deck and makes a kissing noise!
Two babies enjoying the cat!

Katelyn sitting in a box from Costco, eating raisins. She is very
much into helping herself these days (notice the gigantic bag of
cereal in some of the other pictures!)

Shoes are her favorite accessory. They can be worn on the feet or the hands!

The boysthouht it was really coll that they were dressed like twins this day.

Draper Temple Open House

We went on Friday night to go thru the Draper Temple Open House before it is dedicated in a few weeks. My mom came with us and we had a couple of extra tickets for some friends as well. It was such a wonderful experience to go thru the temple with our family. Although Brandon and Katelyn were a little antsy at times (this is slightly understated!) we had many moments to enjoy the surroundings. Walking thru a room with some stained glass, Blake turned to me and said, "Mom, this is ........ Wonderful!" It was so sweet and sincere. I enjoyed an extra special feeling in the celestial room - a wonderful little glimpse of heaven all together there for a moment.

Bikes, Teeth, A Cat and more…

We took off Blake's training wheels for the first time. He had no fear but he didn't expect it to give him as much trouble as it did. He had a lot of fun.

Brandon was really excited and he wanted a turn.

Derek and Brandon riding off to the neighbor’s house

Katelyn also wanted to ride.

They all had a lot of fun. Brandon and Katelyn LOVE to play with their brothers.

She wasn't very happy when her turn was over.

Blake lost another tooth!

They are so happy when they are playing video games.

This is Blake's crazy outfit for cat hunting.

It didn't take long before they made friends with this cat. Now it won't go away.

Brandon is making a lot of progress. He sits up on his knees all the time now.

He loves to sit up but I think his favorite part is that he loves to do all the things that get him into trouble. There's even more trouble when he can sit on his knees.

Playing under the kitchen stool

I often can still keep feeding just after she falls asleep.

Katelyn really wants to help Mom.

Derek was playing as Katelyn's pet.
