4th of July Weekend

We did a bunch of stuff on the 4th of July weekend. Our good friends the Popes came down form Idaho for the fun. We got up very early on the morning of the 3rd and went to see the hot air balloons launch.

We then went to an all you can eat breakfast at Kneaders.

The neighbors got a new puppy.

We went to the temple open house.
We ate lunch at the Mayan Restaurant.
The boys went to an Owlz game.
The next morning we went to the parade.

The boys were pretty aggressive about trying to get the candy that was thrown from the floats.

Blake is screaming for more candy.
He filled all his pockets to capacity.

Yes, this car was throwing candy.

After the parade we ate at Brick Oven.

Later that evening we celebrated both of our families' July birthdays with cake and ice cream.

We also had a piƱata.

We then shot off fireworks in the front yard. At one point the neighbors caught a tree on fire. The flames where about 10-20 feet tall. However, before we could get up the street they had put it out and started shooting off more of the big, fireworks.

Blake & Derek's 6th Birthday

Well it was 10 days ago that we celebrated the boys' 6th birthday, but I thought I better post about that before the babies' birthday (the first part of July is such a busy time!). So here it is: their birthday was great. We went to breakfast that morning and then had a pool party with 10 of their closest friends and those freinds' brothers and sisters. They loved it. It was really fun. I am so glad to have such good friends that help me carry out these crazy ideas! Thanks Aimee and Audrey! We went to dinner that night at Chuck E Cheese. Does it get any better when you're 6? Not for them! They are both growing into such little men. They are funny, and fun kids and I love them so much.

They are such kind brothers!

Yes there are mostly girls in this picture. This is only one of the many ways we know
we are in big trouble with these two in years to come. Only 2 boys made the list!
